WTF?
While inspecting the Microcenter book section today, I found that the Ubuntu 8.04 Unleashed advertises a “free upgrade to 8.10” when it is released.
I finally got my wireless working in Ubuntu. It only took 6 days to realize that “L” is not a hexidecimal character! Yet another reason to get more sleep!

my new project
I’m taking “clean desktop” to a new level, stepping up my “no icon clutter” policy. I’m doing away with my panels, replacing them with gnome-do and possibly screenlets or Avant Window Navigator. So far I have taken the minimize button off of windows using gconf. Now I just roll them up instead of sending them to the window selector/taskbar. I just need to find a...
